Dr. Steven Mitchell, DDS
Dr. Mitchell attended Florida State University and the University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate education and obtained his dental training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and the University of Memphis. He also has extensive postgraduate education, specifically selecting courses focusing on oral surgery and dental implants.
His most recent training in full-mouth rehabilitation allows him to provide smile makeovers to his patients for confident, healthy, beautiful smiles. His commitment to lifelong education means he is constantly evaluating emerging dental methods and technologies in order to provide his patients with the best results in the least invasive manner with a high emphasis on comfort. This commitment ensures the highest level of care, both today and tomorrow.
A veteran, Dr. Mitchell was featured in the NY Times bestselling book on the Iraq War, The Last True Story I'll Ever Tell by John Crawford. He moved from San Antonio, Texas, to Summit County specifically to ski and to be a true mountain man! In his spare time Dr. Mitchell enjoys skiing, reading, painting, and fitness.

Melissa Ferris
Insurance Coordinator
Melissa moved to Summit County in 1999 and grew up here until relocating to Golden in 2008. She graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Spanish language, literature and culture, then moved back to Summit County to raise her son, Quinn. She has worked with insurance companies for over 10 years, originally starting in the medical field, but is happy to have switched to dental billing.
She has been working with Summit Dental Group since December 2021 and looks forward to many more years! Melissa enjoys goofing around outside with her son, camping and teaching dance classes.
Hass Daghash
Hygienist
Hass was born and raised in Cleveland, OH, and he graduated with an associate's degree from Cuyahoga Community College in 2011. He then moved to Memphis, Tennessee, and graduated with a bachelor's in dental hygiene from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2015.
When he's not working, he enjoys the outdoors with his 5-year-old son. Hass moved to the mountains for the views and to experience the mountain life. He loves hygiene and doesn't think of it as a job; it's a lifestyle. He's very passionate about his patients and will always go the extra mile to make sure they are comfortable.
